The Summer Youth Program originated in August, 1984 as an evangelistic outreach program of Calvary Baptist Church. After years of marked success, management of the camp was transferred to the Community Development Corporation in 2007, with the primary goal of attracting more diverse sponsorships.
Now named the Youth Enrichment Summer Camp, the purpose of the camp remains to instill in young people respect, self-esteem, and knowledge of God. Daily activities include devotion, Christian education, academic education, and recreation, with breakfast and lunch provided. Weekly special activities include swimming, field trips, films, and guest speakers.
